ABOUT THE JOB

- You will provide support, guidance and coaching to assist the person to make friends and establish strong natural relationships within their community.

- You will provide personal care (bathing, cooking, cleaning, etc), assist with health-related activities (medication administration), and at times, you may need to help your person work through difficult emotions or behavior to effectively communicate their needs and/or wants.

-You will help your person live their best life.

No previous experience needed, but enthusiasm and a positive attitude are a must!!

PAY!!

This position pays $13 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

I) Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program

II). Successful completion orientation and training provided by Georgia Options

III). Basic computer skills

An Overview:

Perform general accounting functions and processes for the organization and the people it supports.

Some duties include:

I) Paying bills and writing spending checks,

II) Ensuring benefits are deposited,

III) Inputting all financial transaction in Quickbooks, balancing checkbooks monthly and providing reports,

IIII) Reviewing and reconciling receipts,

V) Ensuring that assets for each person served remain under $2000. Create and manage STABLE accounts for people supported with funds over limit.

VI) Working closely with Community Support Coordinators on large purchases and maintenance needs on the homes of the people GO supports

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

I) Ability to use Microsoft Excel fluently.

II) Ability to use Quickbooks.

III) Ability to use mathematical computations.

IIII) Ability to balance a checkbook and maintain pristine financial records.

V) Ability to maintain a general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

VI) Ability to maintain a strong organization of records.

VII) Ability to deal courteously with the public, other staff and people served.

VIII) Ability to understand the mission and purpose of the organization

Credentials & Experience

I) Minimum of Associate’s Degree.

II) At least two years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience required. An additional year(s) of experience may be substituted for the Associates Degree.

III) Fluency in Excel and Quickbooks required.

III) Experience with payroll preferred.

This is an in office position, requiring you to work Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM

The nurse applying for this position would need to be comfortable working 12-hour shifts with minimal supervision.

Direct Support Professional - Student Position

With notice at the beginning of the semester, we will work with students to have off for school breaks, and for exams. We will accommodate changing schedules due to changing school schedules.

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To support the person to live her best life.

II. GENERAL DIRECT SUPPORT FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide individualized support to the person to pursue his/her best health

Support with personal care tasks, including bathing, bathrooming, dental care
Support with medications
Support with medical coordination
Seek to understand the personâ€™s non-verbal communication

2. Encourage and assist the person to have her richest experiences

Develop and attend opportunities for inclusion
Develop and cultivate natural supports for the person
Learn and respond to the personâ€™s communication style
Provide support to overcome barriers to the personâ€™s community inclusion.
Work closely with the personâ€™s family advocates.
Drive the person to his/her favorite places and support him/her to participate in activities.

3. Pursue and maintain the personâ€™s existence in his/her chosen environment

4. Assist the person to prepare for the future

LPN Charge Nurse

The LPN Charge Nurse is responsible for clinical and administrative tasks in a single home setting for one individual requiring 24/7 skilled care. This young adult is engaged in her community and leads a full lifeâ€”as long as her medical needs are managed by a skilled nurse. The Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating care with the LPN team at the home, physicians and other community healthcare providers, and non-clinical Georgia Options staff who assist the individual to live as independently as possible.

*This is a Fulltime Monday-Friday Day shift position*

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Carry out nursing care according to the care plan

2. Assess for and identify potential health problems, report changes in condition

3. Complete and maintain electronic documentation of health status

4. Manage, maintain, and administer medications and G/J tube feeding

5. Manage medical care with other providers, including staff LPNs

6. Manage equipment, medical supplies, and other specialized needs

7. Advocate for individual as necessary

8. Serve as liaison for family and Georgia Options

9. Assist Direct Support Professionals to provide community living support and non-skilled personal care
